:(

A lot of people cry (especially women) when they’re sad.

But it is a state of sadness so advanced, I could not cry. My jaw was tauted and paralyzed I could not produce even a tiny little sound. I felt like I want to laugh very very hard, therefore the tears would not came out. In this case, I was silent, and the silence echoing. Gema hening.

If this case happened to a man, he seemed like a man who did not know where he is and what he is doing and about to do. This sight was far worse to see than the crying man himself. I ve been an eyewitness once.

Anyway, if you are wondering why I sounded so gloomy today, I am not. I am practicing “painting” a “sad situation” using words. To be used in further project. He he he..

p/s -I told you I want to be a writer.

Tidbits

31 03 2009

1) Suppose to go to Penang tomorrow. Have only been in Penang once in my lifetime history, and the 4-years old me can’t even remember a bit about it. In account to my mother, that’’s the time  where my father bought my mother a set of diamond bracelet+earrings, which my mother always wears as long as I can remembered it – until the bracelet suddenly broke three days before arwah Tok Ayah died.

2) Good news! One of the member in AKRAB received a call – the forecast of a WIN I must say. Can’t say more detailed than that. Congratulations to her, she really deserved it. She’s the one who did the job with the most effort. I will challenge you again next year! Hehe.

3) I seriously need an injection of economy stimulant package! Please bank in 1/4 of your salary this month to my bank account, thank you.

Boikot

30 03 2009

Teringat sewaktu pernah belajar selama sebulan di PASUM. Seorang kawan ni mengusha seorang pelajar lelaki dari jauh. Pada suatu hari, Kawan terdengar dia bersuara “aku nak jadi doktor!”

Kawan pun terus boikot epal. “An apple a day can keep the doctor away! Semalam aku makan epal, seharian tak nampak Doktor!”.

Ilmu pengasih dari kitab tajul muluk

28 03 2009

…is what a person googled today and arrived here -  my blog. The only time I had ever mentioned about “Tajul Muluk” here was at that time last year where my deceased uncle left us tons of kitab-kitab kulit kuning, and that include Tajul Muluk. I still remembered I mentioned there; at that specific post – Tajul Muluk is full of CRAPS. Half of its contents can lead to Shirk. I have deleted that post but people still coming for that deleted post. What you’ve been thinking to resort for “ilmu pengasih”, loser?

Ayam

28 03 2009

During my three months ‘hibernation’ at home, I have this pet Ayam at home.

The mother hen along with its other eight little chicks was swallowed by a typhoon. Leaving behind two small little beaks.

One could not survive, leaving the only one. Hence, naturally it received 5-star treatment from us, especially from me.

It used to follow me around the house, and didnt even mind me touching him. He stood unusually still everytime I reach over to pat it’s head lightly.

I left it at home, while he’s learning to crow. (not so smooth, but quite ok). Probably when I m home again he must be having two or three aweks trotting along with him.

Possessed?

26 03 2009

Last night, about 10 pm I was at this building, alone and the rain started pouring. It’s dark and nobody in sight. Suddenly I remembered the stories being told in this online forum of ex-IIUM students about how there’re ’something’ being seen in this building at times like this. It is unusual for me to be afraid – I am quite brave, kuat semangat orang kata.

Urm, I cancelled to go through my decided route passing the tunnel, instead I turned and walked to the cafe nearest to the mosque where there’re plenty of students with laptops ( groups with assignments due tomorrow, must be), ordered a roti telur and sat there until the rain stopped.

Less foruming next time, maybe?

Book

25 03 2009

Last night I remembered this book I borrowed from the library last week but could not quite managed to read it (yet). The due must be tomorrow or the day after tomorrow. Can’t remember.

I took The Palace Walk by Naguib Mahfouz and start reading while lying on the bed. The fan on the ceiling with speed 2.

After 20 or so pages, I stopped. Will return it tomorrow.

It’s not the way he write – Naguib Mahfouz is an excellent one, but the story itself. Usually, stories about family saga did not attract me much. I am more interested in a story about an individual self. Plus I was disturbed, reading a story about a muslim who drink. Though I know the writer did not portrayed Sheikh Ahmad as a kind person till the end of it, but still..

Maybe next time, years, I’ll try reading it again.

A Situation I Could Not Conclude

24 03 2009

I have my lunch today in the different cafe than yesterday. Looking forward to eat the meatballs, I pointedly beelined to the Bakso stall with this exhausted-looking Indonesian cutting vegetables at the time. She looked like she was about to cry.

Concerned, I asked her what was wrong. She told me about how she’s old and alone, have to do all the job in the cafe. While I was waiting my order to be done and listening to her, I can feel Makcik Goreng Pisang at the nearby stall watching us. I took my order and sit, facing the TV. The cafe was quite lone with few other students. Other stall workers didnt seem tensed like the makcik Bakso – they even have time to stop between per-customer,  watching the indo-drama on the TV. Makcik Bakso continued doing her job at the Bakso Stall. Makcik Goreng Pisang came to wipe my table and gave me a look I didnt quite managed to read.

She did seem quite frail and old, her movement not too fast, she’s not as energized like other workers. Hmm.
